McDonald's, the Chicago-based burger giant, is gearing up for its biggest hiring spree in years, with plans to recruit up to 375,000 US restaurant employees this summer.
The move is part of the company's expansion plans, which include opening 900 more restaurants in the US by 2027, bringing its total number of locations to over 14,400.
The hiring push is a sign of optimism in the US job market, which has shown resilience despite economic uncertainty caused by trade wars and inflation.
McDonald's is also celebrating the 10th anniversary of its Archways to Opportunity program, which has provided tuition assistance, English lessons, and career services to over 90,000 employees, with $240 million in tuition assistance alone.
The program has helped employees like Anamaria Monterroso, an eight-year veteran at McDonald's, pursue higher education and career advancement opportunities.
